Indications

• increasing swelling during the working day
  
• the feeling of tiredness and weight of legs in the evening
  
• long immobilization of the limb during travel
  
• varicose veins on lower limbs of parents or siblings
• hereditary clotting disorders
• appearance of spider veins
  
• after beginning of hormonal therapy (contraceptives or hormonal substitutive therapy)
  
• visible veins on the extremity without evident bulging above the skin.
  

Contraindications

• Artheromatosis of the lower limb arteries, Buerger’s disease, the diabetic foot.
